Well we got some great news. First we heard from the realtor on the Big Island that our offer is accepted for the land we wanted. It is an acre of land in the Hawaiian Paradise Park area and we are lucky it is across the street from a very good friend.
Next we heard from our realtor here on Oahu that our home here has had an offer and we accepted so now the waiting process starts and then when all is finalized we have a month to move out.
Hmmmmm hope the daughter and son in law are ready for some boarders hahahahaha.
I am getting anxious now to get my plans blessed and start the whole process of getting approved, clearing the land, and taking all the necessary steps to build the home of our future.
Here is an architects conception so far of what we are planning with lots of changes to come but you will get an idea of what we are doing. First the garage door is on the wrong side (minor change), and the covered lanai on the inside of the "U" shape of the house will go and a swimming pool will be inside the "U" and a BBQ area. the two wings will consist of a guest suit and master suite with sliding doors out to the pool area and the bottom of the "U" will be the family/kitchen room also with sliding glass doors to the pool area. Wish us luck I am sure the will be lots of changes to the changes forthcoming. Aloha
Hmmmm hip roof or gable which way to go. Wow decisions already and we are still in the early stages of the planning process.
We were going to go with a package home (several are available on Hawaii) and had even made contact with one of them (Trojan) however, we met our first real glitch.... Trojan went out of business. Will the ones buying Trojan offer up the same deal, that question and several others have not been decided. So for now it is my own drawing (bet you would have never guessed, right??) and see who and what can be done. I think I need to get my son in law involved since he owns his own construction company Chunstruction, (plug plug plug) and see if he is ready as a general contractor to assume the project. Sure he will that means we will be out of the house sooner hahahahha.
